The project
The vision
Atrahasis is the Mesopotamian hero of the flood, "he who is very wise", who saves life and memory beyond catastrophe. From this name a digital ark is born: a place where a person's memory is kept with the same physical care as a niche in a cemetery, but stays alive, shared and reachable from anywhere.
The site is not a virtual cemetery nor a photo archive. It is a pavilion of memory where every person has a showcase: behind the glass, the urn, the portrait and the objects that tell who they were. The showcase is furnished by the family, or by the person themselves while still alive.
What matters is not lost.
The principles
- Permanence
- A ten-, twenty-, fifty-year or perpetual concession, funded by a separate, ring-fenced custody fund.
- Respect
- No advertising, no visit counter, no funereal rhetoric: a sober and warm tone.
- Dignity for everyone
- Three levels of space that answer different needs, without the simplest one looking poor.
- Truth
- What speaks after a passing is what the person actually said and recorded: artificial intelligence returns, it does not invent.
- Care for grief
- Every feature is designed for those who remain, not only for those who are gone.
